Bachelor of Arts in Zoology - Pre-Veterinary Medicine: The Bachelor of Arts in Zoology - Pre-Veterinary Medicine program is designed to provide an academic foundation in the biological sciences and to prepare students for careers in veterinary medicine. The curriculum emphasizes integrative biology, evolutionary biology, ecology and physiology, animal behavior, anatomy and physiology, genetics, molecular biology, microbiology and immunology. The curriculum includes required courses in the basic sciences as well as a broad background in the humanities and social sciences that are essential for understanding the impact of human activities on wildlife. The program also provides training in communication skills that will help students develop effective writing, oral presentation, critical thinking and problem solving skills needed in all areas of professional life.
