About the course

Doctor of Philosophy in Aerospace Engineering Sciences - Fluids, Structures, and Materials: Traditional MS and Ph.D. students are admitted into a specific emphasis area, which provides research advising, financial assistance, and establishes specialized entrance and program requirements, as well as suggestions for course work within and beyond the department. The Focus Area Fluids, Structures, and Materials (FSM) is further subdivided into two tracks: (1) Fluids and (2) Structures and Materials. The usual MS requirement to take a core course outside of the focus area is waived for the FSM Focus Area exclusively, and students must instead take a core course from the second FSM track.
