Time Duration For TOEFL Test

10 minutes break is given after the Reading and Listening Sections of Test of English as Foreign LanguageReading: The questions are from the numbers 36 to 56 and the reading test involves answering the given questions from passages.

Generally 3 to 4 passages were given from the academic texts and the test-taker answers the questions from the passages appropriately. Managing your time and answer the questions after understanding the accent and analyzing the answer sounds trickier, but the test-taker should take mock tests to attain the ability to understand and analyze the accents.

It is always advised to learn new words and use them in the language while you speak to develop the neat vocabulary which gives best impression to the evaluator with your grammar and vocabulary. If there are one or three questions that are trickier it is advised to move on to the next questions, rather than hanging on at one question, which actually saves time.

Duration: 60-80 minutes Listening: The test-taker is asked to listen to discussions or lectures or seminars and then answer the questions given in the Listening section of TOEFL. This requires a lot of listening and understanding the accent as well as understanding the given situation and answering appropriately. The question numbers are from 34-51.

Duration: 60-90 minutes. Speaking: There are six tasks in the Speaking Section of TOEFL in which two tasks necessarily shall be from a native English speaker with a question of about 15 seconds and the test-taker is given 45 seconds to respond for the given question.

The tasks are generally from reading and listening sections or expressing the opinion of test-taker on a given general topic. So the answer should not be contradicting but should be balancing.

The Speaking Section of TOEFL actually tests the listening, reading as well as speaking skills of the test-taker. The advantage of Speaking Test, Test of English as Foreign Language is that, the test-taker should be giving the response into a microphone and recorded where it is scored later, unlike IELTS, where the Speaking Test is manually assessed.

Duration: 20 minutes Writing: The Test-taker is given a couple of tasks and has to answer in the form of essay with the word count of 200 to 400 words. The essays are expected to be informative, but not expansive and boring just to fill the space. Two evaluators will give scores for essays on 1-5 scale. If the scores are highly differing from each other, then a third evaluator evaluates the score in Writing Section of TOEFL.

Thats the reason test-taker is instructed not to include the unnecessary grey matter, rather include the required information within the word limit to support an opinion in the answer. Duration: 50 minutes To know more information about the TOEFL training centers in Hyderabad or best coaching centers for IELTS, GRE, GMAT, SAT, TOEFL, PTE Academic and other entrance exams contact Global Tree Overseas Education and Immigration services, with 14 branches across India.
