Key Requirements and Eligibility

• Minimum 18 years old at the time of filing application.
• Must be capable of supporting themselves financially in getting accommodation, as well as providing support to their dependents.
• No history of any criminal record or previous negative immigration record in Hong Kong. The applicant should be able to provide a clean Police clearance certificate for all countries where he/she has stayed for more than 12 months in the last 10 years.
• Language proficiency must be proven with a score of an average of 6.0 in IELTS.
• Graduation is mandatory for applicants who wish to settle in Hong Kong through a QMAS visa. If the candidate does not possess a graduation degree, then his/her technical qualifications, professional experience, and achievements are taken into consideration.
• Applicants with higher postgraduate degrees stand an excellent chance of getting an application accepted.

General Employment Policy

This visa is intended for applicants who wish to enter or remain in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) under the General Employment Policy scheme.

Eligibility Criteria

• No crime record
• Excellent educational background and a first-class degree in the relevant field of study.

In some cases, technical qualifications and relevant experience are also mandatory.

• The candidate must have a confirmed job offer for a position that is appropriate to his qualifications and experience, and the position opening must be genuine and not filled by local labor.
• The remuneration offered should be according to the market rate for employees working in a similar and comparable job in the HKSAR.

Eligibility Criteria for Dependents

Once the dependent visa for Hong Kong is granted, the primary applicant's direct dependents may join him or her, provided they meet the following criteria.

• Reasonable proof of a real relationship between the primary applicant and the dependent is required. Documents such as a marriage certificate, birth certificate, and so on can be used to demonstrate proof.
• There is no reason to believe that the relocation will be detrimental to the dependant.
• The primary applicant can assist the dependent at a level above subsistence and also arrange for housing for him/her.
