What are the Necessary documents required for a PAN Card?

Required documents are: 

  • Voter ID
  • Driving licence
  • Adhar card
  • Passport

2. HUF (Hindu Undivided Family)

  • Register certificate of the company issued by the register.

3. Trust

  • Trust deed and registered certificate number issued by trust and charity commissioner.

4. Society

  • Registered certificate number issued by the commissioner of the cooperative society.

5. Foreigners

  • Passport, bank statement of NRE account in India and  bank statement of residential country.

How to Apply for a PAN Card

Step 1: Choose How to Apply

Step 2: Fill the Application Form

Form 49A – To be filed by Indian citizens.

For foreign nationals – Form 49AA

Fill the fields like NAME, D.O.B., ADDRESS, and AADHAAR Number correctly.

Step 3: Submit Necessary Documents

Accumulate scanned copies (for online) or physical copies (for offline) of:

  • Proof of identity – Aadhaar, passport, voter ID, etc.
  • Proof of Address – bank statement, electricity bill, etc.
  • Date of Birth proof – birth certificate, school certificate, etc.

Step 4. Make Payment for Your Application

The fee varies based on the option for e-PAN or physical PAN card and location. Online payment is accepted through debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI.

Step 5: Apply & Track Your Application

When you submit, you’ll get an Acknowledgement Number to track your status. You can also receive an e-PAN through email in a few days if you apply online. You will get a physical PAN card at your address in 15-20 days.
