What is AOVN?

AOVN – Ambedkar Overseas Vidhya Nidhi is a Telangana State government Initiation to provide financial assistance to the SC & ST students, who aspire to Study Abroad. This program ensures the eligible students to get trained absolutely FREE on IELTS, GRE, GMAT, PTE, and TOEFL, by reputed (recognized by the Govt. of Telangana) coaching institutions, to score better and to get Scholarships to Study Abroad.

Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi Scholarship Grant

Upto INR 20 lakhs or according to the university admission letter, whichever is less, is applicable. Along with INR 20 Lakh, one way Economy ticket and Visa charges will also be refunded.

Who are Eligible for AOVN program?

Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi (AOVN) by Telangana government allows SC and ST Students from Telangana region to avail this FREE Coaching.

Guidelines for SC & ST Students

  • Income Criteria: Family (Both Parents/Guardians) Income should be less than INR 5 Lakhs per Annum from all sources and if the Student is earning, his/her income should be less than INR 2 Lakhs per Annum
  • Age: Candidate must be below 35 years as of 1st July of the year of advertisement.
  • Countries Eligible to Apply: USA, Canada, Germany, France, UK, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand From 1 family, only 1 child would be eligible to avail of this scholarship
  • Academic Qualification: A mandatory 60% in Graduation
  • Exam Score: Qualifying score in GRE/GMAT and English Proficiency Tests like IELTS or PTE or TOEFL. Below are the scores required to be qualified for AOVN Scholarship for ST Students,

GRE (260) / GMAT (500) / TOEFL (60)/ IELTS (6.0) / PTE (50)

How to apply for AOVN Scholarship?

Presenting a detailed step-wise guide to apply and get AOVN Scholarship.

To Avail Free Coaching for GRE/GMAT/IELTS/PTE/TOEFL

  1. Log on to https://telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in/ website and select Skill Up gradation
  2. Select Registration from the Student Services for training programs to open the Registration form
  3. Fill out the form with details as below
  • Applicant Details: Student needs to fill in the correct details of name, father name, SSC details, Date of Birth and other ID proofs, Caste details, and Annual Income of family.
  • Income & Caste Details: Caste Certificate must be submitted to prove the eligibility to get a Scholarship to Study abroad
  • Academic Details: From SSC to PG, enter the details of Institution, Course, Year of passing, % attained, Grade/Division
  • Bank Account details: Bank Account number, branch, district and Bank name should be entered
  • Institution and Course Details: Choose the required courses (Only 2 courses can be selected from the list. 1 from Either GRE or GMAT or Other and 1 more from either TOEFL or IELTS). Then Select Global Tree Careers as the preferred coaching institute and choose the course and country from where the student aspired to study abroad.
  • Communication Details: Candidate’s address, contact details must be entered here without any mistakes.
  • Documents: Attach all the required documents in the specified formats below and proceed for submission.
  1. Submit the application and wait for the application number. Save the number for the future purpose.
  2. Track the status on the application with the application number. If the candidate’s application is approved by Telangana government, they will receive admission to their desired institute.

Documents required for free training through AOVN Scheme

The size of the document being submitted must not be more than 100KB (ideal size is 60kb to 90kb) and the Format be in either jpg or JPEG.

Here is the list of documents that needs to be submitted to get free training on AOVN scheme:

  • Passport Photograph of Student
  • Caste Certificate from Meeseva
  • Income Certificate from Meeseva
  • Bonafide Certificate form institute where candidate has studied last
  • Ration Card
  • SSC Certificate
  • Aadhar
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Bank Passbook* (1st page)
  • Residence/Nativity Certificate
  • Scanned Copy of Latest Marks Memo

To Avail Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi Scholarship

For whoever already registered for FREE training in IELTS/TOEFL/GRE/GMAT from AOVN partnered institutes like Global Tree, can use their E-pass ID number to start applying for scholarship. 

Here is step-wise guide to apply AOVN Scholarship:

  1. Log on to https://telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in/ website and select Overseas Scholarship Services
  2. Choose Registration for Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi SC or ST depending on candidate’s caste
  3. Use E-pass ID number if available or start filling the form as mentioned above in how to apply for FREE Training with AOVN Scheme.
  4. Along with those details, here are few more details to fill to apply for scholarship.
  • Details of places & Address of school study from 4th to 10th as per certificates
  • Passport details
  • Qualifying Test Scores – Either GRE or GMAT and Either IELTS or TOEFL
  • Visa Details can be entered but it isn’t a mandatory section to fill in the first place
  • Details of Foreign Institute from which admission is obtained
  • Admission letter or i20 equivalent document must be submitted to avail scholarship
  • Income and Caste certificate numbers
  1. Scan and upload the below document as the final step to apply for the scholarship.
