The government of Germany is making concerted efforts to attract more skilled workers and encourage them to opt for Germany immigration instead of opting for other countries.
According to a popular and widely read News Paper in Germany, the coalition government has reached an agreement on the contentious issue of immigration which was the subject of much debate in the country. The deal is expected to bring in a number of changes to the immigration policies of the country, but the main thing in focus, is that it is expected to make it easier for skilled workers from countries like India to immigrate and work in Germany. Especially, if they have the requisite skills and the intent to work in sectors where Germany is facing a shortage of labor.

The deal for the new immigration policies was reached after talks between members of the coalition were concluded. The talks focused mainly on the two points that were focal to the immigration debate.
1. Filling the labor gap in the skilled category by bringing in more immigrants from countries outside the EU.
2. The future of asylum seekers in Germany who are staying on in Germany and trying to be integrated into the system, despite being formally rejected
According to the new laws for German Immigration for Indians, skilled labor from countries outside EU who have the necessary education and skills will face lesser restrictions when they apply for a position in Germany. Any skilled worker would be allowed to Work in Germany if they have the required education or a job offer. Companies in Germany can now recruit workers from other countries without having preset condition of labor shortage.
Moreover, job seekers will be able to stay in Germany for a period of six months to look for a job. The new law will also allow students to get a better permanent residence permit. The new rules are expected to benefit both the skilled immigrants as well as meet the requirements of businesses in Germany who seek to employ skilled workers from foreign countries. It was also opined by experts that the new rules would help to curb illegal immigration and would help Germany to maintain its competitiveness among the global economy.
