Time Management – A deciding factor in MATH SAT

Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) is one of the exams used to assess the student’s skills while admitting into universities abroad for their abroad education. Before attempting the SAT exam, it is suggested to attend the SAT training for hitting the 160+ score. The different sections in SAT are

TIP – 3 Use plugging-in strategy for the answers which you are not sure of. Try working with each multiple choice answers and start with B or C which helps you decide to go either up or down.

TIP – 4 Decide between efficiency and speed. Though it is important to solve the problems with speed, only accurate answers will give the marks. Remember, there are negative marks for wrong answers.

TIP – 5 Run through the questions and solve the easy ones first. The difficulty increases with the number, to solve the first appearing questions quickly so that it saves time with those that require more time.

TIP – 6 Break your time for answering the questions. Here’s how.

  1. 25 Minutes for multiple choice questions
  2. 25 Minutes for 18 questions +
  3. 8 Multiple choice questions & 10 grid-in questions
  4. 20 Minutes for 16 multiple choice questions.

This helps the time management well and attempting the questions with accuracy

TIP – 7 Learn using the calculator properly. Make use of the scientific calculator and learn all the shortcuts and tips to use the calculator, which helps in permutations & combinations, factors, Squares & Radicals.

TIP – 8 Prepare to do mental math which saves pressing the buttons on the calculator wherever necessary.

Time management is the most important and deciding factor in SAT preparation.
