Students pursuing a Ph.D. at the National University of Singapore are eligible for this fellowship. The National University of Singapore welcomes applications for any Doctoral (Ph.D.) degree twice a year (in sync with admissions intakes of August and January). This scholarship is awarded for one year at a time, renewable every year for up to four years depending on the scholar's performance.
Students, who have been selected for the INSEAD MBA program and show outstanding academic achievement, leadership potential, business, and financial management ability, as well as a desire to contribute to the development of their native country, are eligible to apply for the award (either France or Singapore Campus).
Applicants must be international students with a high academic record who wish to pursue a Ph.D. at one of Singapore's leading universities. Students can undertake research at the National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), or the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) (SUTD). Every year, 240 scholarships are awarded to meritorious students seeking Ph.D. degrees in Science and Engineering.
Students from Asian countries (except Singapore) who are pursuing a full-time undergraduate degree at NUS can apply for the scholarship. The university takes into account a persistent good academic score, leadership potential, and engagement in co-curricular activities. All applications for the scholarship are automatically screened. Undergraduate degrees in computer science, engineering, or science are available (excluding Pharmacy).
This scholarship is open to Ph.D. students and post-doctoral students who have been accepted to NTU, NUS, or any of Singapore's Research Institutes. A Ph.D. is required in Environmental Science, Renewable Resources & Water, Engineering, Physical & Material Sciences, and Life Sciences.
