Your passport must be valid for a specific period in addition to the duration of your trip. Most European countries require it to be valid for three months after you leave the country, so bring another form of identification with you (preferably with a photograph).

When traveling with children, keep in mind that you may be requested for information when you return to the home nation.

Photographs

1 passport-size photograph is required, that meets the size requirements for a visa application. The size requirement for a UK visa is 45mm X 35mm.

Funds Required

Original bank statements from the last three months are an example of financial evidence. A minimum of £4,000 should be shown as savings in your bank account; else it may raise questions as insufficient funds and leads to rejections.

Relationship Proofs

If you're traveling within the EU, your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) is valid until it expires. After that, apply for a Global Health Insurance Card at GHIC.
