• Account Statement: The candidate should provide their account details for the preceding 6 months – their bank name, contact, and balances. Through this document, IRCC can assess if the candidate is financially stable to visit the country.
• Travel Itinerary: The visitor is required to submit their flight details and accommodation details that will give IRCC an understanding of the visitor’s stay in Canada.
• Travel history: The candidate should submit copies of their other visas, entry or exit stamps, or old passports as proof that the candidate was eligible to obtain a canada visa in the past.
• Use of representative: If the visa application form of the candidate is filled by a third party or a family member, they are required to fill a ‘use of representative form- Form 5476.’
• Minor: If the visitor is a minor, a letter that approves the minor child to travel to the country and any other documents must be submitted. In the case of a minor child, the documents needed to be submitted vary depending on whether they are travelling alone, or with a parent or relative.

Cost of a Tourist Visa for Canada

For a visitor visa, each candidate is obliged to pay an application fee of 100 CAD. If a family of five members or more, apply for the visa at the same time and place, the application fee would be 500 CAD.

Additional to the application fee, each candidate is required to pay their biometrics fee of 85 CAD. If a family of 2 members or more, apply for the visa at the same time and place, the biometrics fee would be 170 CAD.

The average processing time for a Canadian visitor visa would be 2 weeks. This period does not cover the time taken to transmit an application from a visa application centre to the office or the time required for the candidate to provide biometrics. Step1: Decide whether to apply online or on paper.

How Long Can an Indian with a Visitor Visa Stay in Canada

Most Indian visitors with a visitor visa are allowed a stay period of 6 months in Canada. However, a visitor may be given a stay period of fewer than 6 months by a border service offer. In this case, the end date will be given on the passport.

How to Extend a Canada Tourist Visa

If the visitors decide to extend their stay in Canada, they are required to apply for a visitor record before their existing visa expires. The visitor visa document allows a visitor to stay longer in Canada and it also includes a new expiry date. This document does not guarantee that the visitor can leave and re-enter the country.
